these refs are clearly just freestyling it.
Players being more robotic and strict in their play, while refs get more freedom and creativity.
This is truly the worst era of football known to fans!

Double Dusted
The first yellow was fair if not a bit soft. His studs weren't showing bit you have to be careful about going to ground. At HT, a Brighton player was goading him and was pushed away by a team mate. Being on a yellow, he should have known not to give the ref any opportunity to card him again. It was sift as hell and Veltman should have been carded too. We saw the harsh cards dished out to Tomi and Partey last season. The refs will give us nothing.

Just saw the red card back, completely outrageous and if I were Arsenal I'd be getting lawyers involved or something that's completely obscene.

You have to fear the worst for our game against Tottenham. Partey on his own against Maddison will be an absolute horror show.

Get your boots on lad we need some steel in midfield, besides if you get banned for two footing Romero it'll be a funny story for the grandkids eh?

Its so obvious the ref was looking for anything that would make it difficult for us. Even before that incident he was letting them do basically anything and immediately carding Arsenal players for softer stuff

I didn’t say he played as 6 when next to Jorginho, I said that both players complement each other much better than the Thomas / rice partnership.
I really liked when he played as 6 at arsenal, the problem was that havertz was a very bad fit in front of him.
I think you can cover for rice’s flaws as the 6 by playing next to him a highly technical creative playmaker.
But I don’t think you want rice as your main technical creative force in the LHS the way this team plays.
But you need to understand Arteta wants a 6 very prolific with the ball. We need that. I agree of what you say if we played 4231 like Wenger did with Cazorla - Coquelin but for that you need your LB capable of making runs. Maybe Timber could do that and Ødegaard should be free to play with Saka and Trossard. That's one way I see it.
The second way is 3 back with him as CB. And the third way is him as LB or RB and when we don't have the ball he goes to the middle. And sit.

At least he is conscious he did wrong. As I said the guy I don't remember his username already, he even saw the ball when he kicked it and referees are so picky when those situations. Everyone who played football at some level know you don't do those silly things when booked.

Ref had about 6 Brighton players including their keeper in the refs face when Rice went down. Only we get cards for that? Cool.

Probably the best answer he could give, I think unfortunately the club would find it best not to anger the ref mafia so as not to put targets on our backs. His 'I was shocked' comment says enough about how he feels.

Red cars was harsh but **** me, Declan has been bad. Three yellows and no good match yet.
If Partey did this we'd crucify him.

The second was a yellow as well by the rules of the book. It’s just so ****ing annoying no ref would give a yellow for that 99/100 times.
At the same time he should have been a bit wiser about it all. First yellow was a ridiculously stupid challenge where he had nothing at all to gain from diving in. No studs or anything but with the force/speed he came with and with it being obvious he was too late into it I think that was a stone wall yellow.
Needs to be cooler, but he was clearly not in the right mind today for whatever reason. At the same time he’s not the first and won’t be the last and anyone is allowed to have a ****ty day (if that’s what it was).
We go again.
